Trunk Cables offer more Efficiency in Data Center
Trunk cables provide more energy efficiency, a higher packing density and a low-maintenance organization for structured cabling systems.

EFB Elektronik GmbH provides Cat.6A copper trunk cables from own production with different whip length and total length. The trunk cables are certified for data transmission in 1 Gbit/s ranges up to 90m and 10Gb/s ranges up to 60m.
Energy efficiency and Reliability
With a lower density by 30 percent compared to conventional wiring, the use of trunk cables provides a major contributory for energy efficiency in data centers. Due to the smaller diameter false floors and primary sectors are kept free and a more efficient cooling is achieved. The increased air flow results in huge energy savings. In addition trunk cables reduce the fire load and provide increased data center reliability. In the secondary sector of the structured cabling trunk cables offer a high level of investment protection, too. Trunk cables are often used for connecting of consolidation points by office floor distribution, because their installation is much faster and cheaper than conventional cable bundling and can be reused flexibly to changes.
Trunk Cable on customer request up to AWG22
EFB-Elektronik GmbH supplies stranded 6- and 8-fold PiMF (pair in metal foil) trunk cables to customer specification in different whip lengths and total lengths. The multi-fiber cables are factory-assembled and shipped including measurement protocol. EFB provides on request a special trunk cable with a larger overall diameter instead of the conventional completion AWG23. The AWG22 Tunk cable is particularly suitable for environments with a high utilisation of POE (Power over Ethernet) applications. This type of cable is less sensitive to thermal loading of power transmission, because of its larger copper core.
